To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter of recommendation in support of Meredith Faltin.
Meredith and I have worked together in a dozen or so productions together, and even when we were young people first starting out, Meredith always conducted herself professionally. She was always “off-book” before anyone else, and her joy and commitment to the craft of theatre helped me realize my calling there. While I have continued in the professional theatre, most recently as the Music Director for Julie Taymor’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, Meredith has redirected her talents and energy into her work with children.
Meredith’s the kind of person you want on your team. She’s punctual, prepared, and precise, but not in an overbearing way; her nature inspires an atmosphere of professionalism. It’s easy to recognize talent; Meredith nurtures it without playing favorites. It’s harder to recognize potential; Meredith brings out the best in the people she works with. Not only would I be glad to work with her again; I’d trust her with my kids.
She’s fun, she’s funny, she’s engaging, and she’s thorough. She’s a leader who knows how to listen, and she has a knack with children. Her educational and professional experience in the theatre has led to graduate work in Special Education, and she’s also a really good soccer coach. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Yours,
Jonathan Mastro
